Alan Blum, MD, Professor and Gerald Leon Wallace M.D. Endowed Chair in Family Medicine at the University of Alabama, is one of the foremost authorities on the history of tobacco use, cigarette marketing, and strategies to end the smoking pandemic. Since 1998 he has directed the Center for the Study of Tobacco and Society, which comprises the world’s largest collection of original documents, artifacts, images and front line reports on the tobacco industry and the anti-smoking movement. Kevin Bailey, MA History University of North Alabama (2012), and a Associates of Computer Information Science from Northwest Shoals Community College(2018). He has worked as a volunteer archivist for local libraries, and professionally as a curator for the US Army, and now serves as the Collections Coordinator and Digital Archivist for the Center for the Study of Tobacco and Society.
