The Oral History Collection is comprised of audio stories recorded by the Center’s founder and director, Dr. Alan Blum. Covering a wide range of tobacco-related issues, these stories represent a personal piece of Dr. Blum’s legacy as not only a renowned anti-tobacco crusader, but also a vocal critic of the medical profession in its handling of the tobacco pandemic. Our playlists of videos feature materials hosted in our critically acclaimed exhibitions and give valuable insight into topics such as airlines and smoking, minority targetting by tobacco companies, tobacco company sponsorship of sports, and many more.
Infographics and Posters
Whether made for the National or World Conferences on Tobacco or Health symposiums on the tobacco pandemic or collaborating with the University of Alabama Honors College’s Catherine J. Randall Research Scholars Program the Center for the Study of Tobacco and Society hosts the archive of the research posters and infographics. The Center is also actively working on converting the published posters in the collection into interactive webpages check back periodically for new additions.
