In its first year as a formal organization, Doctors Ought to Care took the fight against smoking to the streets. DOC expanded its signature campaigns that would come to define the organization by purchasing advertising spaces on bus benches around the country. These benches featured DOC’s staple parody ads, using humor and satire to “laugh the pushers out of town.”
