Joseph Michl’s – Fifty Little Orphans

This small display cards for Joe Michl’s Fifty Little Orphans cigars dates to 1885. Michl was a manufacturer of cigars renown in late 19th century America for their standard of excellence. This collage features no less than 50 beaming, grinning, frowning, bawling faces of precocious cherubim. Careful eyes can spot one African-american child tucked away in the back rows.
